SAFE and SECURE

We promise to work very hard to make things SAFE for children and young people at home, and in particular for those who live in homes where there is domestic abuse.

This is when one parent or carer behaves in a way that frightens or hurts the other. If you are trying to cope with domestic abuse in your home or if you know someone who is, then remember that there are helpful organisations that are expert at talking to children and young people about any problems or worries they have.

ChildLine

You can talk to people at ChildLine about any problems or worries you have. It is open 24 hours a day and is free of charge, even from a mobile and the call won’t show up on the bill.

Telephone 0800 11 11, or follow this link to visit their website.

Scottish Child Law Centre

If you have any questions about the law, telephone 0800 328 8970 (Monday – Friday 9.30am to 4pm). This is free and is for under 18s – adults can call 0131 667 6333 or text the words SCLC and then your question to 80800

Alternatively, follow this link to visit their website.
