Current

The provision of services for disabled children and young people and their families in Scotland (Stage Two Research)

The key objective will be to examine the availability and accessibility of publicly funded services for disabled children, young people and their families.

Pilot study - Children and Young People's views of information leaflets

The key obejctive of this study is to produce a briefing for the Commissioner into how children and young people in Scotland engage with two current information leaflets (age related) produced by the Commissioner's office.

 Administration of medicines in schools – seeking the views of parents

The key aim of this study is to ascertain the views and experiences of parents and carers of children and young people who require medication at school. This study will focus in particular on the impact that current practice has on both school and family life.

Administration of medicines in schools – seeking the views of headteachers

This is a small-scale project to explore policy and practice in schools through a survey of 300 schools across a sample of 9 local authorities

(Completion date: early April 2013)

Domestic abuse - issues around safe contact and court proceedings

This is a preliminary research study to explore current practices and procedures in contact proceedings from a children’s rights perspective.
