Accountability

Responsibilty to someone, or for some activity. Organisations have to report on what their money is spent on. A worker has to account for his or her boss for the work he or she is doing.

Active citizenship

Having the ability and confidence to have your voice heard and putting your views and opinions into action.

Advocacy

Asking for, or arguing for, something, usually from key decision makers. A child or young person can sometimes have an advocate to speak on his or her behalf.
