It's alcohol awareness week

This week the government are launching 'Alcohol Awareness Week'. The main aim is to raise awareness of the number of units in alcohol drinks as many people don't know how much it is they are drinking.

Children and young people who have parents or carers who have problems with alcohol can find life very tough. Many people, including Tam, the Commissioner think that the government should give as much help as they can to help parents and carers who drink too much as it has consequences, not just for them, but for their own children too.

If you have any worries about this issue, please don't worry alone. You can contact childline or talk to an adult you trust.
