Gordon Brown: I should’ve taken media studies
The former prime minister – and current chancellor of Adam Smith College in Kirkcaldy, Fife – was speaking to students there in his first public appearance since leaving No.10.
‘I was thinking of coming in today and applying for the course on communication skills,’ said Mr Brown.
‘Then I thought I might do public relations, then maybe media management – or drama and performance.’
The MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath confirmed he would continue as a backbench MP, having increased his majority to more than 23,000.
